Hello! My name is Colin.
I am a person with too many passions and projects. That's why I made this website to be able to group all of them in one place.
🎮 Video Games
I'm passionate about video games! I can't say that I play that much but I spend a lot of time reading about it and making my own games. You can find my games on the Projects page.
My first game were made in C++ and SFML. I then switched to Unity and C# for a while. At the moment, I'm experimenting with different technologies.
💻 Programming
I enjoy programming in general, and it's also my job. My topics of interest include algorithmics, front-end, game development, computer graphics, machine learning and software testing.
I did a lot of C and C++ in the beginning, in particular for my video games. I am also familiar with C# (which I used to make games with Unity), Python (mostly for data science projects), Java (because you have to sometimes) and Typescript.
Nowadays, I mostly program in Elixir, which is definitely among my favourite languages. This website is actually made in Elixir. I am also very interested in Rust, though I never had the occasion to use it that much.
Generally, I love to learn new languages, so I have tried many others.
🎓 Studies / Career
2012 - 2017I studied Engineering at the University of Liège, with a master in Computer Science oriented towards "intelligent systems".
My master thesis: Gene regulatory network inference from observational and interventional expression data
2017 - todayI am currently working as a Software Engineer at Eura Nova, a Belgian company specialized in data engineering and data science.
🎶 My other hobbies
Besides programming and video games, I enjoy many things such as running, drawing, or learning Japanese.
I also love music in general. I sing and play the ukulele regularly (though I'm still a beginner...) and listen to a lot of music from many differentes genres.
